Situation
Residential and Educational Services of the East Bay (RES) is a successful agency that educates and houses severely mentally handicapped adults, some of which are wards of the state. After 10 years of operation, RES wanted to take its business to the next level. With four privately-owned facilities for day-treatment programs and residential care, RES now cares for 50 adults at a cost-savings of more than $100,000 -- per person, per year -- to the State of California. RES selected Excel in Marketing to work with the agency in a year-long partnership to address several areas of growth. With a defined budget, and clearly outlined goals and success metrics, Excel in Marketing, and RES worked to define a roadmap that would result in more funding sources, greater public awareness, and measurable growth over the next two years.
Excel in Marketing, LLC, Solution
Excel in Marketing recommended a set of services based on the Executive Director/Founder's priorities and budget constraints. These services were mapped to an affordable timeline and the account was assigned an Account Director responsible for coordinating all Excel in Marketing's, efforts for the next 12 months. Services included: a marketing plan, branding and identity development, grant development and submission, a contact management database and training, brochure development, website remodel, media relations, and community partnerships, culminating in several large events at the conclusion of the year.
Outcome
As promised, Excel in Marketing has delivered RES's new-and-improved branding and a professional, clean identity treatment for all communication tools within the first 60 days of the working relationship. A comprehensive funding effort was researched and mapped to the calendar year, with more than 20 grants submitted in the first 90 days. Efforts are now underway to research and define the appropriate contact management database for RES, licensing, and to populate the selected database tool with media and community contacts. Once installed, Excel in Marketing will provide training for in-house personnel to use on an on-going basis. |
